Lean Octavio is an architectural designer based in Seattle, WA. She holds a Master of Architecture and BA in Architectural Studies from the University of Washington. She is currently a designer at Wittman Estes and a visiting studio reviewer at University of Washington Department of Architecture. During her studies, she participated in various study abroad programs including the Rome Architecture and Food City Studio, ScanDesign Studio with Effekt Architects in Copenhagen, and Design/Build Studio with UW Landscape Architecture & University of Gothenburg's Steneby campus in Dals Långed, Sweden. Her master thesis Fragments of Home explores the concept of home through storytelling, architecture allegory and representation. Her project Pier 48 Cook + House received the 2019 AIA Northwest and Pacific Region Student Merit Award.
